Our verdict

VIRTUS reported 18,979.7 tCO2e in 2025, up from 18,066.5 t in 2024, with Scope 2 reported as nil on a market basis and Scope 3 limited to grid losses and business travel. It publishes no figure for purchased goods or capital goods, so the size deduction for an incomplete footprint (0.70x) applies. It claims 100% renewable electricity but does not say what backs it beyond PPAs, which its parent's report says cover 17% of consumption; 31MW began only in October 2025. Its net zero 2030 target has two versions, with no SBTi target found. Its parent's report gives Scope 1 as 12,859 t, unreconciled with the accounts' 1,575.1 t.
