Every company gets the same 10 questions, the same rubric, the same data standards. Scores are generated from publicly available information — emissions reports, energy data, supplier audits, regulatory filings. Sources cited for every question.
Every score is listed publicly and free to access — visible to consumers, journalists, investors, and customers searching for credible sustainability information. Anyone can challenge a score with evidence.
Every score on SINK reflects what's publicly available — emissions reports, energy data, regulatory filings, supplier audits. If your actual practice is stronger than your public disclosure, your score won't reflect it. That's a disclosure gap, and it's fixable. Three ways:
Disagree with a specific question score? Submit evidence and we'll review it publicly. No payment required. Visible challenges and corrections are credited.
Submit a challenge →Submit private evidence — energy bills, internal reports, supplier audits, certifications. A reviewer reads it, cross-references with public data, and integrates qualifying material into your score. Sources cited.
Get Enhanced Assessment →Not sure what to document or how? We help you scope the disclosure work itself — what to gather, how to structure it, where the highest-impact gaps are.

A score from public data ages. New emissions reports come out, methodology shifts, your own practice changes. Verified & Maintained keeps your score current — continuously monitored against new public data and methodology changes, with a formal annual rescore as the marquee event. Verified badge, embeddable widget, score-change alerts, priority review on challenges.
For companies that use their score commercially: in tenders, investor decks, customer pitches, sustainability sections of websites.
No. Payment covers the assessment process, not the outcome. The rubric is public. The same ten questions apply to everyone. A company that submits evidence of rising emissions and no targets will still score low.
Possibly — but that's a disclosure gap, not a judgement on your practices. A 50-person manufacturer might have excellent environmental practices but score 25 because none of it is documented publicly. The Enhanced Assessment exists for exactly this: submit your actual data and your score will reflect what you're really doing.
Challenge any question with evidence — it's free. If your evidence supports a different score, we'll update it. All changes are logged publicly. You don't need to pay to challenge a score.
Free public scores are generated within 24 hours. Enhanced Assessments take 3–5 working days after you submit your evidence. Consultations are scoped to your company — typical engagements run 2–4 weeks.
Verified covers ongoing reviewer time — continuous monitoring against new public data, priority review when scores are challenged, and a formal annual rescore. £799/year if paid annually, or £75/month. It's a fraction of comparable third-party certifications, and unlike most of them, every score and source is public from day one.
