Our verdict

Ark reported gross emissions of 17,335 tCO2e in 2024, up from 2,988 t in 2023, partly through a changed energy-from-waste factor and added Scope 3 categories. It publishes no figure for capital goods, and purchased goods only in part, so the size deduction for an incomplete footprint (0.70x) applies. Its utility electricity is backed by REGO certificates through supply contracts that name no supplier, so they earn no credit. Its one direct supply is a private wire from an energy-from-waste plant, which is not renewable. Its Net Zero 2030 goal is self-set and plans offsets, and it publishes no water volume. Its Corsham extension drew over 1,100 comments; no fine was found.
