Our verdict

Amer Sports' footprint was 1,340,949 tCO2e in 2025, 77% of it from the goods it buys, and it rose 16% on 2024 and 32% on its 2022 base. 86% of electricity at its own sites was renewable, mainly through certificates. The SBTi validated its targets, including net zero by 2050, in January 2025, but its own emissions are 3% above the base. KPMG gave limited assurance on its emissions figures. In September 2025 the Shigatse government found that a fireworks display sponsored by its Arc'teryx brand on a Himalayan ridge broke a plateau protection law and damaged alpine turf.
